I think that way, though, for a reason. When I was in high school and attending seminary, my teachers son died. He was freshly returned from his mission, and getting things together to start attending school in the fall. He was epileptic, and had a seizure one night when he sleeping on his stomach. He suffocated to death. On testimony meeting a couple months later, she told us of reading his Patriarchal Blessing, in which it told him and them (though none of them knew what it meant at the time of the blessing) that this is what was supposed to happen. I unfortunately cannot remember the exact words that she used, being this was about 10 years ago… But I remember that day distinctly. She, and the rest of his family, knew that he was called back to our Father to teach.

It’s horrible, yes, the way they died. There’s no doubting that. I can’t say, or even begin to speculate, why they died in such a manner. But there must have been some reason for it. We’ll just have to wait and find out.

I’m curious to know how that gives you any comfort. These children suffered unimaginable amounts of pain at the hands of your savior!
Doesn’t that cause any amount of doubts in your mind to whether they are living in “eternal light and glory” after they died, I mean, if he’s capable of allowing something like this?

If that’s really the case, as I stated before in my post about LDS Baptism, why not just end your own child’s life, then?
If you can reconcile at all this god’s atrocious killing of these kids on one hand, and giving them eternal peace on the other, the logic follows that children are much better off dead than alive.

If that’s what this hope leads you to believe, then I want none of it, thank you.

Thanks for the comment, but I am appalled at anyone who can speak out at all and excuse the actions of their “savior” in light of news like this.
